How A Car Engine Works – Moving Gif Picture

This is a great demonstration on how a car engine works – This GIF on how a car engine works is quite big, so may take some time to load. You can also click on the image to make it bigger so you can read the text clearly.

The diagram shows exactly how fuel is injected into the cylinder of the engine, then compressed, and then combusted to create power for your car, and these fumes are then expelled out into the exhaust, to which the whole process starts again, thousands of times a second.

There is also a diagram on how new hybrid vehicles work, taking electric motors – these sure do look simpler then using a fuel engine.

Hats off to the creator of this GIF [Jacob O’Neal]
