This isn’t something I have talked about on my blog before, but over the years I have been up and down with my weight. At my worst I was a whopping 20 stone, but it wasn’t till a massive shake up in my life that I realised I needed to do something about this. The shakeup did help me lost over 7 stone, but not in the right way at all.
It wasn’t till after I lost most of the weight I joined a gym to tone up, and started reading up on eating properly to tone up. After getting used to the gym, and toning up a little, I soon realised nothing more was changing, and slowly stopped going to the gym. That and a move to the big city of Newcastle changed everything for me, and settled back down to putting some weight back on, and un-doing the hard work I had put in for over a year.
This time I decided to search for a company specialising in Personal Training Newcastle. I was searching around, and even put a post up on Twitter asking the local Geordies for their recommendations, but it didn’t take long for Adam at First Call Fitness to get in touch with me, and I was straight down to see him the next day.
We sat down and chatted about my current eating and exercise patterns, what my past weight was and where I wanted to be. Adam decided it would be best to have a once a week personal training session at the First Call Fitness HQ in Newcaslte, Tyne & Wear, and to get back into the gym at least twice a week. That and a personalised food macro plan for the week would help me not only get back to where I want to be, but also teach me what I need to put into my body to get results out. I kept track on a daily basis my exercise and what I put into my body using the popular fitness app, My Fitness Pal. Adam too has access to my daily input/output so he could monitor that I was on the right track.
It has now been over 5 months of constant communications with Adam leading me in the right direction, pushing me every day to achieve my goal. I am happy again with where I am, and know exactly what I need to do to keep going down the track I am currently heading. As Adam states, its a lifestyle change that is required, else I will be constantly yo-yo dieting my whole life. I will continue to blog about my progress over the next couple of months, but so far I am enjoying it, as I can start to see progress.
