Staycation In Style: Short Breaks To Take In Wales This Summer

When you work hard, you often feel like you should play hard too – and you should. We all deserve a break, so when you get time off, it’s important to use it wisely. You may already have a summer holiday planned with friends or family, but there’s no reason why that should be your only break. In fact, you could even work on sprinkling your year with a range of short breaks in the Wales. Most people think of Europe, or further afield, when it comes to taking some time away, but there’s no reason why a staycation can’t beat a trip abroad.

Stay At A Spa

One of the best ways to unwind is to head to a spa. You might not feel like it’s your thing, but just wait until you get there. Book a weekend away with your significant other and indulge in every kind of pamper option available. It might sound strange, but the peaceful surroundings of some of the country’s best spa locations could provide you with relaxing break you’ve been needing.

Do Something Sporty

Sometimes, you just need to indulge in your favourite pastimes in order to relax and unwind. So, if tennis or golf is your sport, then go ahead and book that trip of a lifetime with a few of your pals. You might be able to find a fun tennis camp for you all somewhere around the UK, and there are always South Wales golf trips to consider too. As long as you can spend your time doing something you love, it will always be worth while.

Visit The Coast

Sometimes, all you need is a bit of fresh air. So, if you’re thinking of heading to Wales for a short break, the coast could be calling you name. Whether you head to the north or south, you’ll find a part of the Welsh coastline that suits your needs. You might be tempted to stop by the famous Barry Island attractions, or be attracted to the beauty of Tywyn’s picturesque beaches.

Head To The City

If you fancy seeing a vast range of culture and taking in a few historical sites, then seeing a city could be the break for you. Cardiff is home to a wealth of attractions. Whether you’re attracted by the Cosmopolitan buzz, the sport, or even the city’s history, you’ll easily find activities to fill your days with. You might even want to split your time in Wales, spending a few days on the south coast, followed by a few days in the city.

Get Cosy In The Country

And of course, you could always pack up the car and head out into Welsh the countryside. The great British countryside is always perfect for a short break. You can head to the middle of a forest and stay in a log cabin, or find yourself on the edge of an idyllic village, calling a beautiful cottage home; either way, it will be the relaxing and indulgent getaway you’ve been waiting for.
