    No More Dad Taxi

When the family eventually flies the nest, you’re free to trade up the child-friendly sedan for something a little more fun. No more books, toys and food left in the back seat, no more teenagers to act as taxi for, it’s finally you time.

In this blog, we’re looking at three of the best sports cars that come in at the lower end of the price range. Enough to take you places fast, but not enough that it’s going to break the bank.

    BMW M2 Competition

Far too much fun to be used to take the kids to school, the M2 gives you some serious acceleration while still allowing you to maintain control over your drive.  Slightly smaller than the M3 and M4 models, the slight adjustment made by BMW has made it great fun to drive and a car that will take you places with confidence.

Coming in at around £43,000 it’s certainly not the cheapest on the market but with the BMW name behind it, it’s a car that’s well worth the money and is going to provide you with maximum enjoyment for many years to come.

    Mazda MX-5

We love this car. It just ticks all the right boxes when it comes to handling and style. It’s sporty, open-top style makes it great fun to drive. The best thing about this car though, beside its choice in engine size and how light it is, is the price tag. At under £20,000 what’s not to love about this hip little roadster.

    Toyota GR Supra

This car attracts a loyal following of fans and it’s easy to see why. It’s stunning looks make it an absolute classic on the road and it’s low to the ground, straight as a dart driving position make it fast and fun. The engine is a BMW-sourced element available in several options but the best thing about the Supra is it’s handling. Feel confident as you take it around corners and enjoy the thrill of the acceleration.

Coming in at around £50,000 it’s every bit as good as the BMW. Get the best of both with the engineering of BMW and the style of this Japanese super model.

We’ve looked at new prices for each of them from online showrooms, but with a little shopping around on sites such as https://www.jaysmotorcompany.co.uk you’re bound to be able to find your dream model at a lower rate.

Even if you’re not quite ready to give your trusted people carrier just yet, why not treat yourself to a test drive and imagine yourself in a few years from now driving the car of your dreams. Toyota, BMW or Mazda, you’ll remember what all the fun of driving was all about when you step into one of these vehicles and drive away with a smile on your face. Get saving for the day you stop being a parent taxi and finally get to take out the car you’ve always wanted.
