Plus, there are many other must-see places while you’re here too and we’re going to tell you all about them today, so you can start getting excited about a trip to this country.

Visiting Jordan

Before planning your activities while you’re here, we thought we’d tell you a little more about Jordan, so you’re fully prepared for what is to come. Jordan sits in the middle east between Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Syria and has a population of roughly 10.3 million people.

Entering Jordan is relatively straightforward but there are some entry requirements for you to follow as outlined in the UK Government’s travel advice.

Exploring Petra

This is one of the most historical archaeological sites in the world and sits in the southwestern desert of Jordan. The structures date back to 300 BC and are believed to have been the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom, which had a population of roughly 20,000 people. Here you’ll find tombs and temples as well as sandstone cliffs with a pink hue, which led to this place being given the nickname of the ‘Rose City’.

Petra is now a UNESCO World Heritage site as they look to preserve its history and beauty for centuries to come. There’s no time like the present to visit it, however, so make sure you book soon to see it in all its glory.

Wadi Rum

Known as the Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum is another must-see area of Jordan. This is a valley that has been cut into sandstone and granite rock close to the border with Saudi Arabia. Wadi Rum is known to be one of the most amazing deserts in the world and is fun to explore.

The Dead Sea

Jordan is a very hot country and taking a dip in a lovely blue ocean will be on your mind here. Well, the Dead Sea is the place for you. This sea sits between Israel and Jordan and is one of the saltiest bodies of water on Earth, which makes swimming here even more special as you can float effortlessly as you relax.

So, what are you waiting for? Start planning your trip to Jordan today and have an epic time with friends or family.
