Holidays are a big deal for most people. You don’t get lots of time off a year, and when you do you want it to be amazing. You want sun, sea, sand and a few cocktails for two weeks before you head back home and go to work. That’s why people pick one place and go there religiously. They know what they are getting and don’t want to risk their vacation in a country with ‘plenty of potential’ which doesn’t deliver.

France is not one of those places. France is a country that is so great holiday wise; you won’t want to go anywhere else on your vacation. Ask around, there are plenty of people who will testify to the same thing. Don’t believe me? Check these out.

Paris

Let’s get straight to it; they have Paris, and Paris is wonderful. You don’t want to pigeon-hole a country by one city, but that doesn’t mean that you should understate its magnificence either. Paris is one of the most romantic places on the planet, arguably the most romantic, so it is a great place to spark your relationship. You can hold hands, drink wine in a candlelit restaurant and walk down the Champs Elysees Beautiful!

But Paris isn’t a one trick pony. There is the culture with legendary artwork and museums such as The Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower, plus much more.

The Weather

In certain parts of the country, the weather is unbelievable and should not be missed. There is the obvious South of France and the French Riviera, where fantastic beaches hug the quaint towns and cities. Or, you can go the North West region where tourist hotspots such as Brittany are as good as people say.

Just ask the French. Eighty per cent of French people who go on holiday stay within the country. All you need is a return flight and some luxury holiday accommodation.

Fine Dining

It’s a cliché, but it is a cliché for a reason. The food in France is among the best food in the world. You might think that you have tasted good French food, but unless you have sat down at a restaurant in the country you have no idea.

Unfortunately, you cannot replicate French food outside of France.

Diverse

France is not just about sunbathing in the hot sun or soaking in the culture because it is a very diverse place.

Although the weather is baking hot in places, there are also great places to go and experience the cold weather and extreme sports. The Alps are a great place to ski and snowboard if you have never done it before.

Geography

Once you are in France, you can go almost anywhere in Europe. France borders an array of countries that are great places to visit and experience on their own.

If you have had enough of France, even though that is unlikely, you can pop across the border to The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Spain to name a few.
