Ford Fiesta MK7 (2008-) Stereo Removal

Ford Fiesta MK7 - Blue 3 Door

In this guide, I will explain how to remove the standard stereo from a Ford Fiesta MK7 (2008-). The pictures featured in this guide are used as a base guide, where your trim may differ slightly, but the removal of panels and trims will be same throughout the model range.

Before We Begin

Before you start work on your car, make sure you have the same stereo as shown below, and also the tools listed on hand, this will save a lot of time, and will confirm a completed outcome when attempting this guide. I cannot be found responsible for any damage done, or any other issues which arise from following this guide. This is attempted at your own risk.

This guide will allow you to remove the stereo from your Fiesta in order to fit a replacement stereo, or install a hands free kit. Save some money on installation costs by fitting yourself.

  3. Hi there,

good video, very simple and easy. I am looking to install and amp and subwoofer on my 2008 mk7 fiesta and am wondering if this will be viable with the current standard stereo or if i will need to upgrade that first which i know can be quite expensive because of the radio but also the new facia plate?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Bobby,

Thanks for the comments on the stereo removal process. I’m glad it’s helped.

My brother (www.DanSimpson.net) runs all his stereo via an amplifier to all his speakers and a sub. He was getting annoyed about having to turn the car on before he could listen to music (we wired the amplifier into the car ignition to begin with). I changed this now.

He also wanted to be able to play his music via the aux from his Parrot hands free kit (like my car) for better sound quality, but no leads are available, so I pinpointed the wires required so I can create a lead for this.
