After months of saving money, I decided it was time to trade in my 1.4 Focus for something faster. I knew exactly what I wanted – a 3 door 2.0l MK2 Focus in blue with A/C and heated front/rear screen. I searched high and low for the above spec, and created a list of all the local dealers containing the cars I was after.

Armed with my list, I visited each of the dealerships (armed with my 1.4 Focus as part exchange) and got figures from each of the dealers.

The last dealer I was to visit was Jennings Ford at Washington, where the car I had on the list had sold in the morning, but upon walking out of the dealership, I spotted the above car, it was a few grand over my budget, but I asked the questions about the car, and the manager said the dealership was closing down the week after, and he needed the car shifting, so did a great deal on the car, and walked out with the above car.
